"They said that Vince didn't want me back." That quote is funny considering how badly Vince wanted Brock in 2011 and again when he re-signed in 2015. After quitting WWE and failing in his bid to join the NFL, and with his no-compete clause limiting his options, Lesnar did in fact instruct his lawyers to talk to Vince about going back. That's when WWE told him they weren't interested. It was a brutal move by WWE. They were basically trying to cut Lesnar off from ever making money again. They wouldn't take him back, and they wouldn't let him work anywhere else. Frustrated, he got drunk and had the sword tattoo done on his torso. The idea was that it was a "sword to the throat", which summed up his life at the time.
