This moment is shocking because of how seemingly random it was. The build to the Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon match at WrestleMania 19 was based around who was taking credit for creating Hulkamania. Vince McMahon talked about the first WrestleMania, and how he made Hulk Hogan a star. Little did we know that Hogan's first main antagonist would make his presence known. During the middle of their bloody match, when both men were down, in the ring came Roddy Piper, who hadn't been in the WWE since 1996. The crowd had a thunderous reaction because it really came out of nowhere. Piper spat on both men while they were down, but then hit Hogan in the head with a lead pipe. It was unexpected, it was shocking, and it was pretty damn cool.
