15 Most Surprising WWE WrestleMania Match Finishes

4. Owen Hart Pins His Brother (WrestleMania 10)

With Owen put atop such a (deserved) pedestal since his passing, it's hard to fathom that there was ever a time where him pinning Bret Hart in a match would be considered an upset, but there absolutely was. The brothers' twenty-minute mat classic remains the greatest opening match of perhaps any wrestling event ever, and Owen's win made it all the sweeter. Just four months earlier, Owen was nothing more than a smiling midcarder with no direction. After two months of setting in motion the steps toward his Royal Rumble 1994 heel turn, Owen still needed something to legitimize him as an upper-card star. The moment Owen scored the pin, he went from 'angry ex-member of High Energy' to 'the guy that's on Bret's level'. Quite a status upgrade.
