15 Most Surprising WWE WrestleMania Match Finishes

3. Triple H Survives The Fatal Four Way (WrestleMania 2000)

Hulk Hogan's impromptu victory over Yokozuna at WrestleMania 9 did one thing: it prevented WrestleMania from ending with a heel winning. For the first fifteen WrestleManias, a babyface stood on top at the end of the night, sending the crowd home from wrestling's 'Super Bowl' happy. Fans had been lulled into expecting that storybook ending every year. When Vince McMahon twice whacked The Rock with a steel chair at the end of the WrestleMania 2000 four way title match, it was not only a heel turn for Vince, but the follow-up of Triple H scoring the pin, without any reversal or 'deus ex machina' ending, marked a WrestleMania first. Rock did stand tall after laying out all the McMahons, but it didn't change the finish.
