15 Most Surprising WWE WrestleMania Match Finishes

9. Triple H Taps Out (WrestleMania 20)

If you think today's internet wrestling crowd is jaded, venture back to 2004, when Chris Benoit won the Royal Rumble match and his diehard supporters were searching for the banana peel. When Benoit jumped to Raw to challenge the always-winning Triple H for the gold, fans were like, "Yep." When Shawn Michaels was inserted to make it a triple threat, some felt WWE was hedging their bets on a more 'popular' winning choice. Michaels was actually soundly booed by the New York fans that clamored for Benoit to finally have his moment. When he snares Helmsley into the Crossface, hardly anybody could fathom the interminably immortal champion actually tapping out, even as the audience's adrenaline spiked. When Helmsley slapped his hand on the mat, it seemed like the impossible had happened.
