15 Most WTF Moments In WWE SummerSlam History
3. Shawn Michaels' Ridiculous Over-Selling Against Hulk Hogan (2005)
Hulk Hogan made his first SummerSlam appearance in almost 15 years at the 2005 edition, and if rumour is to be believed, Shawn Michaels wasn't exactly thrilled about having to lose to someone more than a decade older than him without nearly the same level of wrestling ability.
HBK did the job anyway, but essentially made a farce out of the entire match by wildly over-selling Hogan's attacks in the most outrageously entertaining way possible.
There's no doubt that Michaels' flipping around the ring only improved the match, especially at the very end, when after being hit with a Big Boot, HBK falls to the floor, gets up again, takes a few clumsy steps around the ring and falls back to the ring mat before Hogan finally puts him out of his misery with a Leg Drop.
Regardless of whether or not Hogan took Michaels' behaviour as a slight, HBK made the best of an unfortunate jobbing situation and turned a potentially dull squash match into something infinitely more memorable and enjoyable.
