15 Most WTF Moments In WWE SummerSlam History

1. Undertaker Vs. Underfaker (1994)

And finally, one of the most famously divisive storylines in The Undertaker's career. After being "killed" by Yokozuna at the 1994 Royal Rumble, Ted DiBiase claims to have brought Taker back, but Paul Bearer believes that it's an impostor (and it is, played by Brian Lee).

The match also had a bizarre tie-in with the recently released third Naked Gun movie, meaning that stars Leslie Nielsen and George Kennedy (but not O.J. Simpson, who was about to go on trial for murdering his wife) spent the weeks leading up to the show trying to find the real Taker.

The wrestling icon eventually shows up at SummerSlam for his match against the Underfaker, an unremarkable sub-10 minute bout that's memorable only for the sheer silliness of the concept and the admittedly amazing make-up job to make Lee resemble the Deadman so convincingly.

The show ends with Taker defeating the impostor and shoving him in a casket, but when Nielsen and Kennedy inspect it backstage, the fake Taker has disappeared. They then find a locked briefcase on the floor and declare the case closed (get it?) as the show ends.
