8. The Electric Chair with Corey Graves

This was an example of a great concept taking off before it knew its limitations.

For those who didn't see the one-episode run of the segment, the premise was simple. Corey Graves would invite a guest of honor to the segment (in this case Sami Zayn) and the guest would then field questions from audience members while seated in a mock-up of Ol' Sparky to drive the point home. In Corey's own words, "No matter how controversial, no question is off-limits."

The problem was in the execution (no pun intended). The combination of a weak line of questioning from the Kansas City crowd and an increasingly disappointed Sami Zayn playing to the "controversial" nature of the show by mentioning direct competitor AEW was enough to pull the plug on the Chair.

This segment could still work if WWE were willing to give it another try. Graves could always invite guests on for worked shoots provided a long enough leash. Just make sure that the audience has had time to prepare well-thought out questions beforehand and bear in mind that with Vince McMahon at the helm, it's safe to assume that one brand of questions in particular is probably off-limits.
