15 Terrible Matches Triple H Wants You To Forget

5. Triple H & Shawn Michaels Vs. Rated-RKO - New Year's Revolution 2007

Speaking of torn quads. Triple H suffered (another) painful quad tear during DX's World Tag Team Championship match with Rated-RKO at New Year's Revolution in 2007. The match was going along swimmingly until the hot tag to Triple H. Just moments into his comeback he blew out the quad while hitting a spinebuster on Orton. Now, in any normal sport (and in today's WWE) the match would have been stopped and Triple H would have been given the medical attention he deserved. But wrestling is not a normal sport, and WWE was a much different place in 2007. Triple H gamely carried on, fighting through excruciating pain, but the match fell apart. Triple H took an RKO and gave Edge two pedigrees. In the confusion, however, Orton ran in and out of the ring with a steel chair for no reason. He looked like a fool. Taking matters into his own hands, Michaels decked the referee and took Orton and Edge out with some wicked chair shots before the DX boys took to the announce tables. Credit must go to Triple H for carrying on like he did, but he could have stayed down and nobody would have batted an eyelid. By rights, he shouldn't have even been able to walk.
