15 Things We Learned From Vince McMahon On The Steve Austin Show

3. The Attitude Era

The conversation turned into a more informal chat at this point, with it resembling two old buddies reminiscing. The two men talked about how they understood each other so well in the Attitude Era, with both joking about Vince's athleticism. It was revealed that McMahon suffered a massive bruise on his behind and legs from the bump he took off the cage at St Valentine's Day Massacre. Austin talked about getting "colour" against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13. This was interesting, because blood was banned then, as it is now. McMahon said he was "p****d" at the blood, but it was also what fans wanted, so he was happy. Austin asked McMahon how much he listens to the WWE audience and Vince was emphatic about how he does listen and lets the crowd dictate the product... which may have been the least true statement he said all night, when you think about some of WWE's creative this past year.
