11. The Writing Team
Austin questions McMahon on why the WWE writing team has became so big. The Chairman answers that having a bunch of writers around is crucial in the modern WWE environment. However, Austin points out how effective it was when just Vince and Pat Patterson scripted the show. Vince then shares some jokes about how he used to write the show around his swimming pool. When guys like Dusty Rhodes would come past, Vince would dump them in the water. McMahon admits to loving a good rib. In terms of the writing team, less is definitely more and that was the point Austin was getting at. WWE is guilty of becoming bureaucratic and Vince obviously lacks confidence to do what he did fifteen years ago. That's a shame.
