'Dark Side Of The Ring' shows Francois Petit as an eccentric, energetic fellow who's also really, really good at piecing broken wrestlers back together and fixing various aches and pains. He showed face as a talking head for the episode, and the doc offered some top insight into what it was actually like to medically work on Mick as thousands of screaming wrestling fans lost their minds inside the arena during one of WWE's biggest PPVs.

Petit couldn't believe what had happened, and he didn't seem to know anything the wrestlers had planned. In fairness, why would he? It's not like Foley or The Undertaker were going to take a detour to the doctor's office and lay out their entire match from start to finish. Thus, Francois was totally in the dark. His only role in proceedings was to pick up the pieces (almost literally!) around ringside.

The doctor says he rushed out to tend to Mick once he tumbled off the top of the Cell. He found an out of it Foley lying prone with a dislocated shoulder, so that was his top priority despite all of the noise happening around them. The atmosphere was thick with drama, and various federation officials wanted to move Foley pronto, but Petit had to keep calm and stay true to his training.

He was determined to help Mick as best he could and put him back together before he was carted to hospital. What a pro. For the record, Petit also says he stayed on hand at ringside because he knew something else was going to happen. He was bang on. Foley came back for more, was chokeslammed through the cage, then Francois was first on the scene to make sure he was still breathing.

Wow. Man has some tale to tell.
