15 Things We Learned From Dark Side Of The Ring: Muhammad Hassan

8. The Consequence Of Wrestler’s Court

Onlookers outside the biz must laugh and shake their heads when they find out about "Wrestler's Court", but it was something young stars had to look out for during Hassan's era. He was tried in the nonsense court by The Undertaker and others. On VICE, Chris Masters hit the nail on the head by saying this is a way to "shame [someone] in front of everybody" and nothing more.

It was also a crafty, rather see-through way for veterans to snag themselves free booze on the road. Copani's fate was ridiculous. He had to buy "over a thousand dollars worth of drinks" for the roster. Gee, do you think that's enough? As if that wasn't bad enough, certain unnamed key members of the WWE upper card poured expensive beverages on the floor right in front of Marc right after he'd bought them.

How childish is that?!

Once this nightmare episode was over with, Guerrero came up to Copani, gave him a hug and said he knew he didn’t mean anything by the Camel Clutch query. It was a bit late for that, 'Latino Heat'! Where were you when this fresh-faced relative rookie was forced to shell out a substantial amount of money on booze that mean-spirited (no pun intended) workers would tip onto the floor anyway?

Copani didn't labour the point, but it's clear he viewed "Wrestler's Court" as a real con. In effect, he was punished for nothing at all. Eddie wasn't even that bothered by the initial question. It wasn't quite a million dollar one, but more of a $1,000 one.
