14. Being Born Into The Business
Stone Cold remarks on the astonishing fact that Paige is a 10-year veteran despite being only 23 years old. Both her parents were wrestlers, as well as having several other family members working in the business, but she says that growing up she was terrified of wrestling due to all the injuries. She points out that her mom was blinded for six months due to an injury she sustained in the ring. She says she would sit ringside, crying to get her mother's opponent to leave her alone. Steve asks if her parents ever smartened her up to the business, and she said that she eventually figured it out on her own because her mom and dad didn't want to spoil the magic for her. While she was training with her brother, her father was short one girl for a match and asked her if she wanted to get in the ring, and after obliging, from then on she was hooked. She names Lita, Bull Nakano and Alundra Blayze as women she looked up to and wanted to emulate.
