15 Things We Learned From Scott Hall On The Steve Austin Show

1. The Razor's Edge

Stone Cold asks Scott how he came up with his iconic finish, which was originally called The Diamond Death Drop. He says that he came up with the move himself, and adds that the first time he ever did it to someone was in Puerto Rico. He says the powerbomb was getting over huge at the time and modified it from to fit his own move. Austin asks if he ever had a hard time getting guys to take the move because it looked like a scary bump. Hall responds: "In the squash match era, if guys would deadweight me then I would let 'em have it. If guys would go up good then I'd put you down flat. You're going to make me hoist you up there then tuck your chin." Steve then asks if he ever took The Razor's Edge and Hall laughingly replies that he didn't but that he gave Austin The Stunner, and that's where we end part one. This interview is absolutely fantastic as there are few guys more fascinating to listen speak about the subject of pro wrestling than Scott Hall. He also sounds to be in great health and spirits and hearing these two friends spitball about a great career is a real treat for fans. Stay tuned for part two.
