5. The Tiger

Remember that time Scott Steiner showed up on Nitro with a legit f***ing tiger? Yeah, so what was up with that? Well, Steiner said that the animal trainer visited with the tiger at a WCW house show (it's wrestling, just go with it) and Steiner immediately took a liking to the feline. So much so, in fact, that he wondered if he could bring it to the ring with him on live television. Well, since nobody was going to say 'no' to Big Poppa Pump, he was coming out on Nitro with with a tiger. Steiner talked about how the animal was trained and that he felt safe but when some compressed air from the Nitro stage spooked the tiger and caused it to momentarily jolt away (bringing Steiner with him), he realised just how powerful the creature was. Luckily, nobody was hurt and the tiger was on his best behaviour. It undoubtedly made for a cool visual and a definite WTF moment, that's for sure. As a funny aside, Steiner said that Rey Mysterio (in full-on Filthy Animals phase at the time) was wearing zebra print dungarees and crouched down and got eye level with the tiger as a way to amuse Steiner. Seeing this, the animal's trainer freaked out and told Rey to never do anything like that again because, if the animal got angry and cut loose, there was nothing he could do to stop it. The master of the 619 was a few seconds away from being tiger food.
