15 Things You Forgot About Triple H's Rise To Power In WWE

2. He Made Main Event Stars

Upon returning to WWE, Triple H had a few years on top, before making the next generation of stars. He has been slighted for being selfish in his career, but what other main event star can you think of who put so many other new names over? Just some of the names he did the job for and tried to help make- Chris Benoit (tapped clean at Mania 20) Shelton Benjamin (lost clean on Raw after WrestleMania 20) Dave Batista (put over clean at WrestleMania 21) John Cena (tapped clean at Mania 22) Randy Orton (advocated Orton when most in the company hated him; put him over in 2007 and 2009 PPV main events) Jeff Hardy (backed Hardy's title run in 2009; featured in triple threat where Hardy won his first title) Sheamus (strong supporter of Sheamus' initial push and title run; put over at Extreme Rules 2010) The Shield (put the trio over twice in 2014; supported strong push from debut to now) When you look at these names, they greatly benefited from the support Triple H gave to them. Let's not forget either that The Game did a great deal for The Rock and Mick Foley too. Popular as they were, they needed a great heel to play off throughout the late 90's and early 2000's.
