15 Things You Might Have Missed From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown

4. Daniel Bryan's Deceptively Smart Bump

On Talk Is Jericho recently, Daniel Bryan revealed that he has to undergo a different concussion protocol to everyone else in WWE. After every single match, Daniel reports to a doctor for a quick check up that ensures he's healthy. This is part of an agreement Bryan formed with Vince McMahon before being medically cleared.

In-ring safety is always going to be a big issue for Daniel, and that's presumably why he protected himself on SmackDown rather than throwing caution to the wind.

Late in the match, Bryan was elbowed in the face by Jeff Hardy and tumbled backwards off the middle turnbuckle. Normally, wrestlers take this bump flat on their backs, and that can mean their heads whip back onto the canvas.

Daniel bumped on his right hip and rolled onto his shoulder instead, making sure to keep his head as far away from the mat as possible. Smart.
