Folllowing The Undertaker's casket match with Yokozuna at Royal Rumble 1994, he took some time off to heal a back injury, but Ted DiBiase brought out a man he claimed was The Deadman. Thus was vehemently refuted by Paul Bearer.

This angle culminated at SummerSlam, as the real Undertaker returned to take on DiBiase's imposter in the main event. After he won, the imposter was never seen again.

The build-up to this epic encounter between two Undertakers was Leslie Nielsen as his Naked Gun character Frank Drebin investigating the mystery of the two Undertakers in backstage vignettes that seemed to exist just to get a celebrity on the show.

What's worse is that the forgettable Undertaker vs Undertaker clash took the main event spot from an excellent WWF Championship steel cage match between Owen Hart and his brother Bret, which totally stole the show and exposed the main event as the cartoony nonsense it was.
