5. Vs. The Dudley Boys - Concrete Crypt Match, Great American Bash 2004
The 2004 Great American Bash was one of the worst PPVs in WWE history. Full of bizarre booking decisions and house show calibre matches, it was crying out for a great main event to save it. With the handicap Concrete Crypt match headlining, that had no chance of happening. The Concrete Crypt match was a one-time deal. Primarily used as a way to write Paul Bearer out of the storylines, it had no business closing the show. Bearer was placed in a box at the top of the entrance way. If Undertaker lost the match, Bearer the casing would be filled with cement. Undertaker won, yet still pulled the lever and buried his manager in concrete after a mysterious lightning bolt struck the cement truck. Dumb, dumb, dumb. WWE did make a point to let viewers know that nobody was actually murdered during the PPV (they used a mixture of pre-recorded footage and a stunt double for the live event). What a relief. As well as being one of the stupidest matches ever, the action also wasn't very good. Undertaker defeated the then-Tag Team Champions far too easily and, although Bubba was game, the match lacked energy.
