15 Worst Undertaker WWE PPV Matches Of All Time

14. Vs. Luther Reigns - No Way Out 2005

Yes, somebody in WWE thought it would be a good idea to give Luther Reigns a PPV match with The Undetaker. Considering how clueless the jacked-up former Horshu was, it should come as no surprise that this is one of 'Taker's worst PPV matches ever. WWE were at least semi-serious about pushing Reigns in late 2004/early 2005, pairing him up with Kurt Angle and having him wrestle in high-profile tag matches on Smackdown. He was also tested against Eddie Guerrero in the opener of No Mercy 2004 (although, by having to wrestle the bland Reigns in the PPV opener, it was really Guerrero's nerves being tested). But a PPV match against 'Taker? That's a real test. If you can hang with the locker room leader in a PPV setting, you earn a great deal of respect. It was a test that Reigns clearly failed, as he was out of his depth and 'Taker was clearly apathetic. It was such an obvious case of 'we don't have anything better for Undertaker, stick him with Reigns and see what happens'. 'Taker allowed Reigns to look competitive before putting him out of his (and the audience's) misery with a Tombstone. This was Reigns' last PPV appearance before he was released in May.
