The Undertaker was on an incredible role in 2007, winning the Royal Rumble and having some exceptional matches with Batista. Unfortunately for 'Taker, he suffered a torn bicep tendon in May which necessitated surgery and a few months on the bench. In order to write Undertaker (who was World Heavyweight Champion) out of the storylines, he was attacked by Mark Henry after his narrow steel cage match victory over Batista on the May 7th Smackdown, allowing Money in the Bank holder Edge to cash in and become the new champ. The Dead Man was fit to return to action by the September Unforgiven PPV. Naturally, he was pitted agains the man who 'took him out' months prior. The whole PPV was built around The Undertaker's return and grudge match against Henry. When the highlight of the match is the entrance, you know you're in trouble. Despite receiving the lion's share of the hype, the bout was the worst on the show and one of 'Taker's worst PPV offerings ever. To be fair to him, he was just coming back off major surgery, but if he or WWE had any doubts about his ability to perform, it should never have hyped up his return and placed him in the last spot on the car. Slow, boring and plodding. A classic this was not.
