15 Wrestlers’ Daughters Following In Their Parents’ Footsteps
9. Mikala Smith (Sam Houston & Baby Doll)
While every woman on this list has a father who wrestled, there are only a few who can claim both parents as performers in the industry. Mikala Smiths name doesnt sound familiar, but if you knew that her grandfather is Grizzly Smith, then the pieces start falling in place. Her father wrestled as Sam Houston, and her mother is valet extraordinaire Baby Doll. She also has a pretty famous uncle, Jake The Snake Roberts, and an aunt who wrestled for WWF, Rockin Robin. Only 22, Mikala currently competes as Samantha Starr. She spent five years training, serving as a valet during that time, so she isnt just jumping into the ring half-heartedly. In an interview last year, Mikala said:
My dream is to be successful in wrestling and hopefully be a part of the WWE. I have trained really hard for the past five years to make sure that I am the best wrestler that I can be. I have been a valet for four years now. I wanted to learn the outside of the ring and how to play with peoples emotions before I stepped into the ring. I want to make a career out of wrestling.
With Baby Doll helping her along the way and a resurgent Jake The Snake in her family, Mikala could be a future Diva worth watching.
