15 Wrestlers Every WWE Superstar Should Study

9. Barry Windham

Prime Years: 1986 - 1989 & 1990 - 1993 Why He Should Be Studied: Barry Windham is, arguably, amongst the five most underrated wrestlers ever. He has his supporters, sure, but very few people gush about big Baz the way that they do some of the other NWA standouts of the era, like Ric Flair, Sting and Ricky Steamboat. Windham was a hell of a worker, before injuries and industry apathy got to him. The one-time Horseman should be studied for his all-around game and especially the way he plays heel. Barry never did anything too spectacular, but everything he did looked good (and looked like it hurt). More importantly, it meant something. If Barry Windham did something in the ring, there was a reason for it - he didn't waste moves. Also, for a bigger man, he was remarkably graceful. WWE superstars should study Windham, who really had some excellent matches in the NWA/WCW, especially in the late 80s and early 90s. Odds are that Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas have seen plenty of Barry Windham matches, since the former Widowmaker is the current WWE stars' uncle and helped train them.
