15 Wrestlers Every WWE Superstar Should Study

8. Triple H

Prime Years: 1999 - 2001 & 2004 - 2008 Why He Should Be Studied: Because if you don't, he'll fire your ass! No, in all seriousness, despite some people believing that Triple H only made it to the top of the business because he married the bosses daughter, the truth is that he really was 'that damn good'. The Cerebral Assassin, a student of the game himself, was one of the absolute best in the business when he finally eased into his main event role in late 1999 until his debilitating quadriceps tear in May 2001. Go back and watch the snap he puts into moves, how he sells and how impeccable his timing is. There's a reason that Vince McMahon pushed him to the top of the card (along with the ripped physique and aforementioned daughter loving, that is). He had a couple of poor years in the squared circle but he got over them: between 2004 and 2008 he had many great matches and worked awesome main event programmes with the likes of Chris Benoit, Batista and Jeff Hardy. Without Triple H to work with, Benoit, Batista and Hardy may not have made it or have been accepted by the fans as top tier stars. Really, even Hunter's biggest detractors would have a hard time saying he's not one of the best ever and a great person to watch in order to study the art of wrestling.
