To many fans, Furnas and LaFon are best known for their brief WWE run in 1997. A few years earlier, though, they were one of the most exciting tag teams in all of Japan. After amassing five reigns as All Japan Pro Wrestling All Asia Tag Team Champions, the duo headed to ECW, where they feuded with Rob Van Dam and Sabu. WWE soon came calling, but they ended up back in ECW as part of The Wright Connection, winning the ECW World Tag Team Titles. Their reign only lasted a day, but it put them in the company's record books and went down in history as their only championship held in the U.S.
