https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USiL8bQcoFo ECW was also responsible for bring Japanese talent to American shores, not the least of whom was future WWE Light Heavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku. Michinoku debuted for the company in 1997 alongside fellow Kaientai DX stable members Dick Togo and Men's Teioh to feud with Gran Naniwa, Gran Hamada, and The Great Sasuke. The six men squared off at Barely Legal with Naniwa, Hamada, and Sasuke getting the win. The match received rave reviews, and Michinoku was soon signed by WWE.
