Strangely, despite Ambrose being present at the SmackDown tapings - braining all four members of the Social Outcasts with a kendo stick - WWE decided not to give the hometown boy a match. Such a bout would surely have drawn a huge reaction, even if it was a squash against a member of the lowercard.
