9. Hulk Hoban vs King Kong Bundy At WrestleMania 2 Has The First Televised Blading (We Think)

This one is tricky considering all the years of non-televised events where blading was sure to have taken place. For those who aren€™t aware, blading is when a wrestler cuts his forehead or other part of his party with a small blade allowing blood to pour down. It makes the match look a lot more dramatic and is an easy way to have the fans pop. For WWE, blading was becoming a big no-no once the Rock €˜n Wrestling promotion started and they were heading down a more family friendly path. However, there are exceptions to every rule, and sometimes blading was done during a major match in order to get more people interested. One example of WWE being lenient about the rule was at WrestleMania II when Hulk Hogan defended the WWE Title against King Kong Bundy inside the steel cage. About ten minutes into the bout, Hogan tossed Bundy face first into the steel cage which created a perfect opportunity for Bundy to do a blade job and get the blood flowing. It fit the violent nature of the match, and it was sweet redemption for all the little Hulkamaniacs who had to witness Bundy crushing Hogan€™s ribs weeks earlier.
