15 WWE Stars Who Thrived On Being Hated

9. Stephanie McMahon

Although she catches a tremendous amount of flak for being one of the brains in charge of WWE creative - which just so happens to coincide with her character rarely showing any weakness - Stephanie McMahon is actually pretty excellent at the onscreen portion of her job. When you consider that the primary motivation of a performer in the role of a heel is to make the viewer despise them, she's one of the best. Much like her husband, many fans have a hard time separating the person from the character, and the the Levesques that may not even be an unfair position to take. But when it comes to Stephanie McMahon, co-leader of The Authority, there can be no denying she's one of the most unlikable people to ever disgrace a pro wrestling show. There have been attempts at having her play a babyface, but once she flashed the brilliance of her villainy there was no turning back. Fans will no longer accept McMahon as the innocent princess or the rootable and fair GM roles she's played previously. No, the Chief Brand Officer has probably relegated herself to permanent heel status at this point. And she's more than likely just fine with that.
