15 WWE Stars Who Thrived On Being Hated

10. Rick Rude

€œWhat I'd like to have right now is for all you fat, out of shape, inner city sweathogs to keep the noise down while I show your ladies what a real man looks like. Hit the music." Before one single hold had been applied, that one simple phrase was enough to cause any audience Rick Rude appeared in front of to erupt in a chorus of enraged jeering. Here was a guy who tainted the men in the crowd because he was a flawless physical specimen that inspired lust in the hearts of many of the females watching him. And what made it so infuriating was that they knew it was true. Rude was in incredible shape, and despite being a despicable human being character-wise, you€™d still hear a sizable amount of high-pitched cheers whenever he€™s perform. Ravishing Rick€™s feud with Jake Roberts is the stuff of legend, with the audacious act of having Jake€™s wife€™s face airbrushed onto his crotch making the list of all-time contemptible heel acts. Rude was so good at being a jerk that he never worked babyface at any point during the prime of his career, through runs in the NWA, WWE and WCW.
