Considering he made his SummerSlam debut way back in 1993, it’s a little bit of a surprise to find out that Billy Gunn has only competed at 5 of the annual events. Luckily for Mr. Ass, 4 of those matches ended in wins.

The ’93 event saw The Smoking Gunns teams with Tatanka to defeat The Headshrinkers and Bam Bam Bigelow, then the Gunns got a 1995 victory over The Blu Brothers, followed by retaining their Tag Team Titles in a four-team match at SummerSlam ’96. After that, the cowboy hat was dropped and the backside began to wiggle as Billy moved towards the Mr. Ass mantle.

Teaming with Road Dogg at SummerSlam ’98, a 2-on-1 win against Mankind went in the record books, before Gunn was involved in one of his most high-profile matches in 1999. That SummerSlam event featured Gunn against The Rock, although Mr. Ass ended up smooching some booty in a Kiss My Ass Match.
