Rarely seen without his faithful 2X4 slung over one shoulder and with a name like Hacksaw, it was suitably poetic that a plank of wood became such an iconic part of Jim Duggans immensely popular wrestling persona, one worthy of his place in the WWE Hall of Fame. Lets be honest, he would be unrecognisable without it. Often pitched against an unlawful foreign villain, Hacksaw was the personification of American patriotism, a genuine blue collar character who clenched the red, white and blue Flag in one hand and his 2X4 in the other on the journey to the ring - regularly using the latter to clobber Soviet fiend Nikolai Volkoff during their legendary battles.
