The author of this article, like many fans, is a big fan of Cesaro. In 2013, Cesaro was part of the Real Americans tag team alongside Jack Swagger and was managed by Zeb Colter. He was also incredibly popular, as his Cesaro Swing was a highlight of each of his matches. John Cena was even considered to be one of his most ardent supporters, leading some to believe that he was destined for something big in 2014. Well, 2014 began and things were certainly looking like they were going in the right direction. Cesaro turned on Jack Swagger, won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale and won the associated trophy, announced himself as a Paul Heyman guy, and thennothing. Despite being associated with arguably the most devious and intelligent manager in wrestling history, becoming a Paul Heyman guy accomplished absolutely nothing for Cesaro. He didnt get any main event treatment despite being one of the companys biggest workhorses, and soon began to lose on frequent occasion. But the death knell for his rise to main event status came when he openly criticized the Cena-Orton feud. Apparently, WWE doesnt like it when their Superstars criticize the companys creativity (or lack thereof), and so Cesaro has been relegated to jobber status for the rest of this year. It is really one of the most unfortunate falls from grace in WWE today. Cesaro is vastly talented and deserves much better. He has demonstrated that he can work with pretty much anyone, whether they are bigger or smaller, of it they are jobber or main-eventers. Hopefully things will turn around for Cesaro in 2015; otherwise, he might want to consider not renewing his contract and going elsewhere.
