Asked about some ‘big news’ that was rumoured that was suddenly dropped a few weeks ago, falconarrow confirmed a few rumours:

“No idea. I have a feeling it had to do with Bryan as chatter of him still working with the company dropped entirely. Have no clue though.”

It seems less and less likely that Daniel Bryan - hey, maybe we should just reverse his name again now - Bryan Danielson, will be taking on a post-wrestling career role in WWE. He’s mentioned on numerous occasions that he's not a good mentor or trainer, and wouldn't be suitable in that role.

Recently he's said that he doesn't think a backstage job would work for him, that it would be too painful constantly being around wrestling without being able to wrestle. For Danielson, it wasn’t putting together matches or coming up with promos or characters that he loved: it was the physical act of wrestling, the one thing he can’t do anymore.

All indications are that Danielson’s going to be looking into other interests outside of the squared circle, and not continuing his career with WWE in a different capacity.
