There's a fair bit of talk on social media about Kofi Kingston setting SmackDown history by working the show's "longest ever match". The truth is that it wasn't; a Tag-Team Turmoil bout in 2015 went 65:15, which is four minutes longer than this week's 61:01. Plus, Kofi was eliminated at the 60:12 mark.

That was long enough to establish a different record.

Kingston's hour-long performance shattered the 60-minute record previously held by Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar for their Iron Man Match in 2003. That means Kingston has topped the prior singles match standard-bearer by 12 seconds. Not only that, he's created blue brand history.
