16 Worst-To-Best Matches Of WWE's Summerslam Weekend

2. Seth Rollins Defeated John Cena

It was as if Randy Savage wrestled Hulk Hogan at SummerSlam last night. As well, because the former host of The Daily Show hit Cena with a chair to cause Seth Rollins' victory, I've gotten no fewer than ten phone calls from my non-wrestling watching friends and family about how good the match was until the former host of The Daily Show hit John Cena with a chair. On every level (and everyone, feel free to disagree) this match was perfect. Last night, Seth Rollins took it to another level in every way. You can look in a talent's eyes sometimes and you know that they're finally believing everything they're saying in the promos that they're cutting. Seth Rollins found that next gear that comes when you ARE the gimmick, and it was fantastic. The triple dive series was totally the evolution of Randy Savage to Seth Rollins. Also, the roll-through Attitude Adjustment was so much fun, and literally made Rollins tougher and stronger the very second it occurred. To his credit, Cena may be evolving too, maybe into something greater than the Hulk Hogan-type performer he's always been. This was a special match, and deserves so much praise.
