16 WWE 80s Stars That Should Be Hall Of Famers

13. "Dr. D" David Schultz

When Schultz comes to mind, most fans think of his 1984 assault on investigative reporter John Stossel at Madison Square Garden, which has been a YouTube treasure for as long as streaming video has been an everyday diversion. If not that, then Schultz is also notorious for reputedly challenging Mr. T to a fight backstage at a WWF event. For these transgressions, the company parted ways with the boisterous brawler. Aside from those wild tales, Schultz was the consummate heel, in many ways an early template for Stone Cold Steve Austin's run as virulent hellraiser in 1996-97. Schultz never did make a WrestleMania appearance, but was enough of a force for the company in 1984, feuding with Hulk Hogan for the World title, and aligning himself with Piper and Cowboy Bob Orton. Like Bad News, Schultz also made his mark as a Hart antagonist in Stampede during the early-eighties.
