2. Los Conquistadores
Los Conquistadores are a slight anomaly on this list, given the fact that they were actually the "secret" identities of one of the most successful, beloved tag teams in WWE history. In the midst of their feud with the babyface Hardys, Edge and Christian lost a match preventing them from challenging for the tag titles, as long as Jeff and Matt remained champions. They got around this in characteristically kooky fashion, donning all-gold attire and assuming the moniker of 1980s luchadores. Nobody was fooled, apart from wilfully ignorant heel commentator Jerry Lawler, but Los Conquistadores still managed to win the titles at No Mercy 2000.
