16 WWE Superstars Who Did Not Belong At WrestleMania
4. Uncle Elmer
Uncle Elmer certainly had his fans, and had been involved in a grand wedding on a memorable edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, but make no mistake about it: he competed on the WrestleMania 2 card only because the roster had been spread so thin by Vince McMahon's brilliant idea to broadcast the event from three locations. An awful wrestler but a tremendous attraction because of his size, he battled Adrian Adonis in a match that still ranks as one of the worst in the long and otherwise illustrious history of the event. Elmer was a comedic act, one of the hillbilly characters that Vince McMahon has always cherished. In fact, if that character would fly on today's programming, we would probably have junior Godwinns running around Raw and SmackDown, taking superkicks from The Usos and Superman Punches from Roman Reigns. He did not belong on a card that was, supposedly, as prestigious as WrestleMania. It should be of no great surprise to anyone, then, that he did not make it through the rest of 1986 as a member of the WWE roster.
