Robert Roode, fka Bobby Roode, arrived on the main roster to a glorious reception. Fans in attendance lost their minds when the former NXT Champion made his SmackDown debut after SummerSlam 2017. He soon captured the United States Championship on the blue brand as it looked like he would become the next face of the show.

Unfortunately, things went downhill for him when WWE decided to introduce Randy Orton, Rusev, and Jinder Mahal in the title picture. 'The Glorious One' found himself out of the singles division in no time as the creative team aligned him with Chad Gable on RAW. After a forgettable run with the tag team championships, Roode left his partner and formed a new partnership with Dolph Ziggler. The duo reached the helm of the red brand's tag team division last year.

But now, they are playing the role of sidekicks on the 'B' show. Given how Vince McMahon has ignored the Canadian star in recent times, it is unlikely that the wrestling community would see him in the world title picture anytime soon.
