Austin/Rock II is one of the greatest matches of all time. It was two men at the peak of their popularity and the prime of their careers going at it in the main event in front of 70,000 people, and they worked a main event-style match. They kicked out of their opponents finishers. They kicked out of their own finishers used by their opponents. There were callbacks to previous Steve Austin matches. Rock used the Million Dollar Dream counter by walking the ropes and pushing back, a move that Bret Hart used to beat Austin at the 1996 Survivor Series.
