17 Things You Need To Know From Attending UK WWE Raw And Smackdown
3. Liverpool Wasn't A Great City To Host It
Liverpool was a bold choice for WWE's tapings. The city lacks the magnitude of London, but strategically does offer a good convergence point for the whole of the UK. Fans from Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and London can all get to Livepool with relative ease. London on the other hand is a time consuming journey for northern fans. Still, you don't get the feeling that WWE will be rushing back. The next tapings are scheduled for London and WWE probably only didn't do London this time because the NFL was in town. Vince maybe did find the crowd too quiet and maybe the crew really did dislike the Merseryside city. From a fan perspective, it wasn't a great city to visit. London offers far more. The locals were also less than ideal. I had the misfortune of sitting next to a pregnant scouser... who was happily sipping away on vodka from a whiskey flask. The crowd appeared to be made up of mostly visiting fans, as Liverpool Football Club was loudly booed when shown on the big screen. Manchester and London are much better locations for these big shows.
