17 Things You Need To Know From Attending UK WWE Raw And Smackdown

17. Security Had A Very Long Night At Raw

Many fans turned up just to give the WWE a hard time. Many signs were prepared in advance with the aim of humiliating the WWE. Fans also smuggled in beachballs with the hope of creating a nuisance. From the get-go, security struggled with these fans. One guy was unashamedly walking in front of the cameras during the Raw Sheamus Vs Rusev match, displaying a "x30" sign (indicating DVR users to fast forward). Security got the sign off him, only for him to produce more, which got a huge pop. That wasn't so much censorship but more a case of WWE not wanting to let fans undermine the wrestlers. You can understand that. The biggest security woe was the beachballs. A ball was getting huge reactions during the Sheamus match, as well as the main event Cena vs Ryback bout. Any time security would get near the ball, fans would bat it on. When security did finally get the balls, there were huge boos and "You Sold Out" chants. It was mega frustrating for security and probably the wrestlers in the ring (who had the distraction to their work). Towards the end of the Raw main event, five security dragged one fan out of the building. In the old days they'd probably have just roughed the guy up but this was more likely just an ejection of a drunk.
