Brock Lesnar Refusing To Lose In WWE?! Backstage Clarity At Last (WWE News)
Update on Brock Lesnar's attitude towards putting others over before his rumoured WWE retirement.
Recent reports suggested that Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman had informed WWE management that 'The Beast' wouldn't be losing many matches (if he was losing at all!) during his latest run on company TV/PLE. Now, Bodyslam.net is reporting that this...isn't true.
Monday's episode of flagship show Raw would certainly reflect Brock's willingness to make fresher stars look strong. He took a colossal powerbomb from rising powerhouse Oba Femi that will now lead to a match between the pair at WrestleMania 42 next month.
That's huge for Oba. Huge.
Things would get even bigger for the former NXT man if Lesnar agreed to stare at the lights for him in Las Vegas. His actions on Raw and this report from Bodyslam indicate that there's pretty much zero truth to rumours that Brock and Heyman are keen to big league everyone else on the roster.
There have been rumours circulating that Lesnar will call time on his career at some point this year. SummerSlam in Minneapolis is routinely cited as a possible end goal for the multi-time World Champion and ex-UFC badass, but nothing is set in stone just yet - it isn't even clear if Brock is definitely going to retire in 2026.
If he does, then it'll be interesting to see what the final months of his epic career look like. A loss to Femi at 'Mania could get the ball rolling on the end of the 'Next Big Thing'. Lesnar debuted in 2002, left in 2004 for UFC success, then returned in 2012 and hasn't really looked back since.
Again, there doesn't appear to be any truth to claims that Brock and Heyman are politicking for complete domination behind the scenes.
