17 Things We Learned From AJ Styles On Talk Is Jericho

10. The Bullet Club

The two men then begin discussing the Bullet Club, with Jericho remarking on how big the faction became, saying they gained nWo-level popularity. AJ says he's not exactly sure when or how it took off but that he knows Finn Balor was a big part of the success, adding that Styles made his NJPW debut on the night that Balor was leaving the company. He says he was asked to give a speech that night, which was awkward for him since he'd just gotten there and mentions that he respects Finn for taking the challenge of giving up his tremendous success in Japan to jump to WWE and never look back. He names the entire roster of the crew during his time - Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, The Young Bucks, Tama Tonga, Bad Luck Fale and Yujiro Takahashi - and says that it worked because not only did everyone have their own role to play, but the guys were all friends in real life and enjoyed hanging out with each other. He jokes that the only time their relatinship wasn't positive was when the rest of the club was in Japan and he wasn't and his phone would be blowing up with group texts at 3 AM.
