17 Things We Learned From The Dudley Boyz On Talk Is Jericho

6. Getting The Tables

Jericho was under the impression that the tables gimmick began when they were working in ECW, but Bubba says that it didn't begin until WWE. He says they were involved in violent matches with tables included but that it wasn't part of their act. D-Von talks about how they had started putting females through tables, and during a match D-Von had legitimately forgotten to get the table so Bubba reminded him. The next night Bubba reminded him again and D-Von started getting mad about it and told him to stop. A few weeks later Bubba came to him and told him that the fans were starting to notice and that they should incorporate it into their act, and D-Von thought it would never get over. He admits that he was wrong and says that Bubba has a lot of great ideas. The "Wassup" spot was also Bubba's idea, another one which D-Von wasn't receptive to at all. Vince came up to them backstage and asked about the spot, with D-Von telling Vince not to worry that he wasn't going to do it, and Vince replied "Oh, but you are going to do that."
