17 Things You Probably Missed From WWE Raw (July 19)
2. Zero Mention Of NXT
Serious question here.
Why don't WWE care about NXT? In fact, why do they actively go out of their way to make the third brand look like a total afterthought? On Raw, Charlotte mentioned her Raw, SmackDown and Divas Title wins, but totally ignored no less than two reigns as NXT Women's Champ (one of which happened just last year).
Flair called herself an "11-time" champ. It's actually 13.
Sonya Deville also hammered home the "11-time" thing before announcing that rematch with Rhea Ripley for the main event. Again, why do they do this sort of thing? This, on the same night that brand champ Karrion Kross jobbed in two minutes, wasn't a good look for NXT.
1. An Incredible Women’s MITB Stat
Let's end with a fun fact.
Nikki A.S.H held the women's MITB briefcase for the second-longest time in its history. Only Carmella held onto the thing for a longer spell before cashing in - others, like Alexa Bliss and Bayley both cashed in on the same night they won it.
Asuka, meanwhile, was handed the Raw Women's Title by a pregnant Becky Lynch at the start of Raw the night after Money In The Bank 2020. Nikki waited until the closing seconds of Raw to cash in. Yes, she only had the case for one night, but that was still longer than everyone bar 'Mella.
