We all know what happened at SummerSlam between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton, with the more gullible among us - and the locker room - convinced it went beyond the script and got more physical than it was intended.

Part of the reason fans were so easily worked was because of a line uttered by The Viper in the lead-up to the match. After a lengthy absence due to injury, the master of the RKO returned to WWE TV at Battleground where he appeared on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel.

Orton told Chris:

"It only takes one RKO to get to Viperville. No enhancement needed."

The line was a direct shot at Brock Lesnar's recent failed drug test following his UFC 200 win over Mark Hunt, and had many viewers speculating that it may have been Orton going off-script. However, Dave Meltzer confirmed that the line was pre-approved and meant to add some "realism" to the feud. Considering what happened at SummerSlam once Lesnar got his hands on The Apex Predator, I'd say it did its job.
