In 2015, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns went into a WrestleMania WWE Championship match with a literal tug of war over 'The Beast's belt. It was painfully of-the-time, much, weirdly, like the word "b*tch" was on a 2020 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Paul Heyman must be working for the benefit of dorks like us that have noted just how much the word has been used with him at the helm of the red brand. He'd almost certainly call this edition of the 'Show Of Shows' the same thing, as browbeaten and weak it is at this point. But at least it's just the event itself that's been completely f*cked by the ongoing crisis.

Drew McIntyre, the twice-pushed 'Chosen One' has, at long last, strode deservingly into the spot he was gifted a decade ago. A rotten 2019 was bantered off at the bitter end with a Kevin Nash-style upgrade that afforded him a Kevin Nash-style rocket-strapping, and the 'Scottish Psychopath' hasn't once looked out of place in the role.

It's his time, it's his turn, and it'll do. 'Showcase Of The Immortals' stuff, eh?

Winner - Drew McIntyre
